Two Beckoned Under Moonlight
Come dance upon my moonlit soul
cheeks alight with peachy glow
never ending magic glee
has enchanted you and me
Laughter beckons, speech now halts
blind to one another’s faults
echoed breathing, silence, chills
quiet kisses, loving thrills
Stain of berries on the lips
subtle swaying in the hips
drink to warm the timid heart
this is how the whole thing starts
Ice-clad walls ’round soul and mind
fall and break as two hearts bind
wilted wings now stretch and stride
to make this faery’s spirit glide
Quiet traces in the sand
give way to walking hand in hand
endless grins and destined glances
moonlight calls while sea romances
Soft back arched and pulse like drum
now at once our time has come
strong and soulful, soft and bright
these rhythmic hearts light up the night
Here you were and there you go
our love came fast but living, slow
patience as the stars align
the faeries give a happy sign
Now I rise to meet my slumber
emptiness that doth encumber
sleep feels weak while you are gone
Perhaps I’ll stay to greet the dawn
Forgive me this one dream alive
of all my joy when you arrive
that you come back in timeless blink
our very beings and glasses clink
A pretty naked nothing day
a sun drenched freckled faery’s play
your hands across the curve of spine
your warm skin brushing over mine
We sup and sip and smile again
like ancient lovers, holy friends
these fleeting dreams of only you
now keep me calm and see me through
Keep me shining, make me whole
my fear and breath and heart you stole
eyes that sparkle, tears that feed
your deep embrace is all I need
If, in your absence I should cry
forgetting that these wings can fly
I know you will return to me
your faery queen at edge of sea
