Six Steps To Having It All

Six Steps to Having it All: Soul Candy Café Delivers!

Order up, Universe! If you’d like some help from the Universe in delivering the things you dream about having in your life (or getting rid of), then today’s blog is for you.

The Universe is not unlike a chic, bustling café or restaurant with superb customer service. Ordering anything from a restaurant works best if you are clear. You wouldn’t go to The Cheesecake Factory and say, “I think I’d like some kind of pasta with a sauce of some sort, maybe some ingredients in it, possibly something like a salad or vegetable on the side and maybe something to drink.” Your lovely, trained, professional server would have no real sense of what you want, and it would be impossible to bring you any such order without more clarity from you. Instead, if you tell your server “I’ll have the Pasta Carbonara, a side Caesar salad, and a Sprite,” you can count on the likelihood of getting what you’ve asked for. When it comes to your life, examine the way you place your order to the Universe. What exactly are you asking for? More importantly, as a result of it, what are you actually getting?

Here’s a crash course…but powerful, effective, and results-oriented…in how to get the Universe to deliver your dreams by ordering them according to Universal law. The Universe wants you to understand this concept when it comes to your actual results and findings in life. You can “go with the flow” and “put it out there” that you want a soulmate, a great career, more abundance in your life…but without clear details, the Universe will circle around over and over in a holding pattern until you make yourself clear. Worse, if you’re ambivalent, unsure, unready, or unwilling, it might just bring you the wrong order.

Your angels, spirit guides, and yes, even God (or Goddess, Nature, or whatever concept is personally meaningful to you) are like the pristinely trained servers of the Universe, and you’re a dining guest in their Universal Café. Inviting your dreams to manifest is not an act of crazy, wild wishing and begging, crossing fingers, and hoping for the best in a craps shoot. It is, however, a lot like placing the perfect order to receive the perfect meal. In a restaurant, if you want your steak cooked medium rare but don’t say so, you might actually get the right steak entrée, but it could be cooked well done instead of how you like it. You didn’t specify. On the other hand, if you say you want your steak to be exactly 8 ounces, cut one inch thick and no more, with equal parts salt to butter to garlic in the marinade, and a millimeter of pink in the center but more or less is unacceptable, and a lemon wedge that is uniformly bright yellow all along the peel and with seeds removed, your server might be a good bit overwhelmed…because you’re trying to control and micromanage the part of the meal that involves letting the chef do her job. The server will TAKE your order like that, but the chef will laugh and smile in the kitchen, then prepare the steak as best s/he can and send it out to you. You may get steak, but the chef may even feel like your order is not something the restaurant wants responsibility for, and may encourage you to take another entrée altogether. Here, you specified too much.

When it comes to food, you place your order clearly, then have a degree of unspoken trust and faith in the restaurant and its staff to be able to provide. Once you place your order, you naturally let it go, talking about other things at the table, glancing at scenery, checking text messages, whatever else. Then the food magically comes! You most likely do not flag the server down six times in ten minutes to ask “are you sure I can have the pasta? What if there isn’t any of that kind of pasta left? Is it coming? When is it coming? I don’t believe that pasta is even in the kitchen.” These behaviors are anxious, insecure, and negate the server and chef staff from doing their jobs…filling the natural role of preparing, and delivering, the meal you ordered. The scene sounds altogether absurd to you, doesn’t it?

So it is with the Universe. There is a delicate balance between asking for what you need, then releasing your order and having faith. Not enough clarity leads to muddled results. Too much leads to cloudy or no results. To get what you want delivered, you simply have to understand the natural process of manifestation, and then USE this process. To make things happen in your life, there are a few tricks of the spiritual energy trade that you need to know…and it doesn’t require that you read a lengthy book written by a guru, take expensive classes, or anything else. It just requires that you adapt your behaviors and requests to an already existing, already functioning set of Universal rules of creation. You may have heard of some of these things from one place, other rules may have turned up in another place, and still others may be new, or reframed here. This information is not new…it has been around for gazillions of years (that’s the official scientific measurement). Whether you’re learning these guidelines for manifestation from Esther and Jerry Hicks in their widely popular series of resources on The Laws of Attraction, from the now mainstreamed film and book, The Secret, or from ancient sects such as Jewish Mysticism (Kabbalah) or texts like the Kybalion (a simplified layperson’s “translation” is now even available by Doreen Virtue) isn’t the important thing. What is important is that you recognize these incredibly effective tools for getting what you want. The list of how to do this is really quite simple and easy to follow. Hey…I’ve got some time and I’m a modern mystic. I’ll just put the list up for everyone, right here, for free!

How to Get Everything You Dream Of…Really

1) Make up your mind.
When you decide you really, truly are ready to receive something…a soulmate, a new lease on life, a better career with better pay…make up your mind to have it.

2) Make a solid, but reasonably flexible list to describe your desired outcome.
This means, single folks, we do NOT make exhaustive lists of endlessly superficial and limiting traits we seek to control in our “perfect” potential future partner. Instead of “brown or black hair with no gray hairs” of our future mate’s appearance, we might say instead a broader, equally as helpful phrase like “is physically attractive to me” or “has great chemistry with me.” Things on your list, whether that list is in your head or written down (and I do highly recommend you write it down), should reflect the highest, most noble ideas you have about what you want…not low level materialistic hopes. Be careful not to confuse the two! While “financially stable and able to provide security to me” is clear and helpful on your list, “makes at least $850K a year and drives a red Lamborghini” is just obnoxious. And yes, even the loving, embracing, beautiful universe can detect what is real and important to you, and what is coming from insecurity, negativity, or ego. The Universe will reflect back to you whatever you put into your own request, so try to ask for what you REALLY want. Underneath a fancy car and a high income, what you’re probably seeking is security, stability, and a sense that you will be provided for. THAT is what you want to ask for, then. “No blondes, no gray hairs” is your limited, compartmentalized thinking about what you’ll be attracted to…but the core value under that is that you are honestly and powerfully attracted to your partner. Do you want someone incredibly loving and well-matched for you to rule you out as their soulmate because you bite your nails and get a zit every now and then? See how this works?

3)Remove blockages and emotional, physical, and spiritual obstacles to your dream.
If you lament that you are so tired of your crappy job, but keep ignoring the opportunity to check out job listings in your area, you are saying one thing but doing another. This is a block to your happiness. Nobody is “stuck” with anything, and the Universe is very much a place of ebb and flow, give and take. If you do nothing to better your life, you get nothing to better your life. Complaining is not done with the same intention as ordering from the Universe, but it might just get you more of what you’re complaining about! If you tell the Universe “I am ready to lose fifty pounds,” but stop everyday at Cinnabon on your way to work for a blast of fat and sugar in your cinnamon roll and caramel latte, what you are doing conflicts with what you are asking. Your actions are, themselves, a way of ordering from the Universe. If you want to date nice guys but keep going out with creeps, stop the action that gives you the bad results: say NO when a creep asks you out, even if it means staying home on a Friday night, having nothing to do, and facing your aloneness.

4) Stop declaring that you want things.
The act of wanting informs the universe that you WANT to WANT. Instead of stating things in terms of what you want, state them as they will be when you have them. Forget about time…pretend you’re already there. The Universe will respond to your confidence with positive results! “I want a new home” becomes “I now have a new home.” Easy!

5) Act as if you’ve got it already.
Yes, this is a little awkward to think about, but it works and is often cast out of the manifestation process. Instead of waiting and feeling impatient for your goal to arrive, simply begin now to act as if you have it. Close your eyes and FEEL your new soulmate with you on the couch. Dress beautifully even if you’re staying in, because you’ll radiate an attractiveness that powerfully magnetizes the Universe to your aid in delivering a mate. It’s the action that says, “I’m not just talking the talk: I’m walking the walk! I’m REALLY ready! Deliver!”

6) Stop obsessing, questioning, or rethinking: just allow it to come.
This is, perhaps, the hardest part of manifesting, because it is the part where you relinquish all forms of control (though you are still participating via actions, and trust in the Universe to deliver your order). It means that you are committed to trust, faith, and belief, and in doing so, fear, worry, and questioning are no longer relevant to how you feel about your desire being brought into your life!

Sound easy? It is as easy as you allow it to be. Many of us can talk about this process without really, consistently trusting it. The more you practice faithful manifestation, the more it works for you. Consider this an invitation for you to place your order to the Universe.

Enjoy, and please send me your results!
